High energy efficiency is the key!
–Incandescent bulbs are way cheaper to buy than LED bulbs, the upfront cost savings hide the long term light efficiency you get from LED bulbs.
–When it comes to powering the lights incandescent light burns 90% more electricity than LED bulbs. The reason is incandescent light bulbs generate light through heating a wire filament to the point it glows and casts off light, therefore majority of the electricity passed through the light is as heat. This means you are literally burning money once you turn on the outdated inefficient lighting technology. With LED bulbs, light is generated directly with minimal heat generation. In short, this means with LED bulbs you get all the light for 10% of the running costs.
